The Project

YELLOW CORN PRODUCTION IN SOUTH EAST ASIA FOR LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL MARKET

Aims to address the demand-supply mismatch of corn between ASEAN and the Americas, with 3 significant countries, the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia importing some 6 million metric tons from the USA and South America. Philippines 1 MMT, Indonesia 2 MMT, Malaysia 3 MMT – annual corn imports for feed grade yellow corn. China and Korea are also large markets for feed grade yellow corn initially estimated at 10 MMT per year. Specifically, PAMGD thru its Local Alliance Partners organized its operations in Myanmar and the Philippines considering their land potential, its people as natural skilled farmers and the country’s strategic location to the regional market of South East Asia.

The Project will provide employment, and train and educate communities in agriculture and agribusiness. It will transfer technologies and knowhow. The Project will also provide livelihoods by way of smallholder out-grower production and financing and buyback schemes for yellow corn production of smallholders. The Project will care for the environment, the soil and water resources and increase productivity on the opened up but currently marginal lands.

PAMGD plantation will be supported by Monsanto seeds and their technical expertise. To ensure a successful plantation operation and to produce a quality yield, the company partnered with Precision Planting, LLC based in Illinois, USA, which has the Technology System product patented of the most modern method of planting currently used in the USA.
